This is the prologue to Pursued book one of the series and the start of Gabriel and Mila’s story. Three brothers, Zaquel, Rafael and Gabriel all princes, all dhampirs, billionaires and sons of the head of the Kral Syndicate.
Gabriel and Mila met when she trespassed in his mother’s garden and when he saw her it was an instant attraction. Gabriel is the crown prince and is readying himself to take over for his father even though members of the syndicate are less than pleased with his being a half-breed. He works hard at proving himself to his father but no matter what he does it is never enough. Dating a human is definitely not going to get him into his father’s good graces.
Gabriel and Mila are determined to keep their relationship a secret and it took a while for him to admit who he really is. As they grow closer and Mila accepts who he is conflict rears its ugly head. Mila dreams of one day owning a flower farm filled with organic flowers and that would require her to move on in pursuit of that dream. Gabriel struggles with blood bonding with her ensuring that she is always his but he would require her permission which she is not ready to give.
Although this book ends in a cliffhanger it is not a problem because Pursued is available as well as all the other books in this series. If you are not familiar with this series then this is the perfect time to change that and to start what will be an exciting journey into the lives of the Kral brothers a journey filled with romance, sex and hot hot men. I fortunately have read all the books in this series so I am well aware of what happens to Gabriel and Mila but I still feel a need to reread it, can’t get enough of this series!
