The preternatural world isn’t her only worry—basic human birthing rituals are going to be a pain in the ass for a woman whose children will be sidhe. Cory’s mother is still fuzzy on the concept of a polyamorous multispecies marriage and sets her up with an OBGYN obsessed with the inhuman silhouettes of her babies.
Cory doesn’t want her children born in the middle of a turf war, but the people she and Green have nurtured and fought for aren’t about to let her face this enemy alone. This battle is for queen and home, and the babies quickening in Cory’s body are a symbol of hope. Cory’s going to have to give up the idea of being a weapon and embrace the idea of being a mother, or she’ll let down those depending on her most.

It was long time waiting for Amy Lane’s die- hard fans! Our Cory has been pregnant for quite a long time after Ms. Lane’s last book in her Indie Published Little Goddess series. Cory has come a long way from the girl we first read in 2005, when the world of Greenshill was first introduced. Green, Adrian, Cory and Bracken set out on an Epic trip to protect the Vampires, the Shifters, the Fairies, the Pixies and Elves and the entire paranormal community.
Amy was able to have all four of her original books re- edited and re- released by Dreamspinner Press in their DSP edition. Now we are blessed with Quickening in two parts…. we have our baby story Quickening 1 and 2.
I really do not think this is The End…….I think This is just The Beginning. Cory has finally found her own self -worth, she is truly The Little Goddess. These characters have stood the test of time, etched in this original UF story. The side stories of the wolves is most interesting, also seeing another side of Greenshill with Teague and Jack and Katy.
Not to be missed.
I cannot say enough about the innovative imagination of this wonderful author. Those who follow her M/M books should read and see a different side of Amy Lane.
