This is the second book in the Romantic Series by Blake Allwood. I have already reviewed Book one which I found more than a quick beach read. Yes it had sexy men, yes it had sexy times, but added was a mystery needing to be solved.

This author did not disappoint, Romantic Rescue had the same foundation and really became another good read. The author’s easy writing style does help to have a firm picture of the setting, the vast Pacific Northwest in addition to the people involved, who are easy to get to know.

This story is about Daniel who has just broken up with his boyfriend. He found his best friend had his tongue down his boyfriend’s throat at the bar Daniel worked at. Daniel punched his friend and was arrested and the court case was tabled because Daniel unexpectedly lawyered up.

Needing to get out of town and clear his head he goes running on one of the mountain trails….He has a bad fall, realizes he has no service, and is stranded overnight with a severely broken arm. He is finally saved the next morning by Rangers and is carried down the trail, not before he catches the eye of one of the Rangers carrying his stretcher.

The blurb for this book will tell you more, I feel I need to tell you how I felt reading this sweet story. Mr Allwood’s book seems to have spiritual undertones and you know I loved it! I’ve always been a believer that there is something ‘more’ and if you do too you will love this story as I have. I’m not talking voodoo or dragons, but some things that can’t be explained like Spirit Animals and lore of that kind.

I was totally enmeshed in the people he met, the man he met Joseph and how from one fall he got a new family and a rekindled relationship with his own.
