From USA Today and Amazon Best Selling Author, Casi McLean, comes another gripping time-travel mystery to keep you hugging onto the edge of your seat.

A hologram on Three Sisters Island whisks Summer into the past where she meets Sydney Monaco, a twenty-first century private investigator who experienced a similar anomaly. To discover where they are––and when––she convinces Sydney to hike through the dense forest...until they witness the gruesome lynching of a young woman.

When the mob leaves, they rescue the victim, but the girl confirms Summer’s greatest fear. How can she convince Sydney the ancient Celtic amulet not only transported her to another location, but it also swept her back in time to 1692 Salem––in the middle of the most histrionic witch hunt in American history.

Summer must discover why the portal thrust her through time into her haunting dreams before a hysterical town hangs them for witchcraft. With no chronometer, she is forced to rely on Sydney’s untested amulet to pluck them from their own lynching and take them home––but the artifact plots its own destination…

Can Summer find a way back to the twenty-first century before time runs out?

*** Though Summer’s story is book two of Three Sisters Island Mysteries, the story stands alone, and draws in Sydney Monaco, a popular character from Casi’s #1 Amazon best seller, Virtually Timeless. Fans will love the twists, turns, and hooks they’ve come to expect from this author.

Sydney Monaco found an amulet which appears to have powers, powers she as a private investigator is ready, willing and able to find answers for. She is certain that the answer she seeks will be found with Tristan Collier an archeologist based in Salem, Massachusetts. On her arrival she discovers that he is not available and decides to spend the night and explore Salem and the tourist attractions it offers such as the Salem Night Tour led by Reverend Peter White an ordained Wicca minister. The tour promises to be exciting and when she returns to her hotel room the real excitement will begin because her amulet takes her on a trip to the past.

While Sydney finds herself in the past Summer Holloway decides to visit Three Sister Island without her sisters, Meadow and Raine to see if she can find the answer to her nightmares. Are her nightmares a potential case even though the chronograph doesn’t indicate any? Unfortunately, she finds herself being transported to the same place and time as Sydney, Salem, Massachusetts, 1692 during the Salem Witch Trials.

Summer and her sisters are time detectives righting wrongs and changing lives but so far, she is unsure of what brought her and Sydney to this place. Her answer may be the woman hanging from a tree who they are able to save. A woman accused of being a witch. Summer and Sydney find a cave to hide the woman in and set out to find her son and his wife who no doubt are in danger. While Sydney and Summer have no clue how they will return to their time Meadow, Raine and Gabe are all putting their heads together to find a way to bring them home. When Raine decides to slide into 1692 Gabe takes her place.

Gabe is trying to find Summer and is unaware of the woman with her. Gabe manages to hurt his leg and unable to run becomes the target of witch hunters ready with a rope for a hanging. With no time to waste Summer and Sydney rush to him and Sydney grabs hold of her amulet transporting the three of them to 3000 BCE. Now returning to the twenty-first century is looking bleaker than ever and living in that time is totally unacceptable.

Well, here is where everything happens and I have no intention of revealing anything more. Do they get back home, what is the secret of the amulet, and why were they sent back so far in history.

This is the second book in the series and although I did not read book one it did not in any way make me feel that I missed out on anything. I highly recommend this series especially if time travel is your thing.
