Before I begin this review, I want to advise you that if you have not read the previous three books, then you may find spoilers. This is a series that needs to be read in order since one book ends and then picks up in the next one.
Jonathan and Olivia are now engaged and planning their wedding, although Jonathan’s father is not very happy about it. The trouble between Olivia and Theodore began when Theodore Maxwell, Jonathan’s father wanted to build a hotel in town which would have meant the closing of Olivia and Constance’s shops. Although the hotel never came to be, the dislike between Olivia and Theodore remains.
On a happy note Olivia, Gail, Constance and Harmony have all fallen in love and there might be more marriages coming. Jasmine, Olivia’s mom, is back home and Matt and Jonathan both are aware that the women they love are witches and have accepted the fact. Larry, Gail’s love, has come to terms with the magical abilities he didn’t know he had. The cottages are always filled and everything there is great and others in town want Larry and Jonathan to build for them.
I don’t want to say too much about this book, because believe it or not there are so many surprises, surprises that never even were a thought in my mind. Jonathan & Matt’s parents have secrets that were eye opening and one of those secrets involves Olivia’s great-aunt Rue. It would be so easy for me to discuss some of the surprises in the book. but that would be taking away your excitement and surprise, the same excitement and surprise that I enjoyed.
Again, read this series from the beginning you will not be sorry.
