This is the last book in the series, a series if you are a vampire fan you should run, not walk to get. Three brothers, Gabriel, Rafael and Zaquiel Kral, all dhampirs and all hated by vampires and Slayers, Inc. This is Zaq’s story but don’t miss book one and two which cover the other two brothers.
Of the three brothers Zaq was the one who refused to follow in his father’s footsteps and donates most of his money to charities and goes to any country where their people require help. It was on his way home from Syria, tired and hungry that he fell for a scam when a young woman appeared to be in trouble, unfortunately he was the one in trouble. Tranquilized he found himself kidnapped and chained in a cell. The chains were silver leaving him with silver poisoning, and at the mercy of his kidnappers. Starved, beaten and being fed from he is in no position to escape. Zaq’s only hope is his father or brothers finding him but he is led to believe that it is his father who wants him dead.
Reaper (Ridley Crawford) is a slayer and it was her job to find and kidnap Zaq but now she is having second thoughts after seeing how he is being treated. It would be the woman who deceived him that would come to his rescue. Ridley is a dhampir but refuses to drink blood from a living person and is determined to put an end to all vampires, the ones that killed her mother.
A proposition is made to Zaq, kill his father and his brothers would be safe, if he isn’t successful then they would die. He is told rumors leading him to suspect his father is behind everything, even though his heart says no his head is beginning to question everything. On the run his life in danger he can’t understand his fascination with the woman responsible for his trouble. As they run trying to keep hidden until he finds his father and kills him, Reaper begins to question her belief that he is a monster because of his family.
Who do they trust, her alpha from Slayers Inc. Or do they need to put trust in each other and find answers. This is a book that once you start will be hard to put down, I know it was hard for me. Anyone who loves a good paranormal romance filled with romance, suspense, secrets, lies and surprises should not miss this series.
