Bram Tillman is not having a very good year, lost his partner Jim and has had three near death experiences. Two times he was almost killed in auto accidents and one time he was attacked at the supermarket by a stranger intent on killing him only Bram got the upper hand and killed the man in self-defense.

One night at home he gets a knock on the door and the man standing in front of him is none other than the brother of the man in the supermarket, the man he killed. He has no idea what this man wants from him other than revenge but that was far from the real reason for his visit. Daniel Royer has come to offer his help because a spirit is the one who wants him dead.

Daniel introduces Bram to vodou and to two intermediary spirits both determined to save Bram but while trying to put an end to what is going on Bram finds himself drawn to Daniel and hopes that when the spirit who wants him dead is gone Daniel will stay.

A short but wonderful story.
