CASSIE & BENNETT
ACT TWO
Bennett Saville is sexy. At the peak of his career, the English star of stage and screen is everything a woman might desire, as fiancée Cassandra Wallace well knows. Together they’ve seen the world, from L.A. to Shangri La, yet shadows persist even in the spotlight. At home they face lust, greed, and ghosts from their pasts—and that’s off stage. There is also “The Val”. The aged London theatre holds a mystery four centuries old, cast in starlight and waiting to be revealed. Intensely personal, impossibly passionate, the play must go on…and Cassie and Bennett must face it together.

Cassie and Bennett are about to leave Tibet where Bennett has been filming Lost Horizon and hopefully when they return home their lives will be drama free. If you read the first book in this series then you know that trouble seems to follow Cassie and Bennett and hopefully they can concentrate on their careers and their plans for the future.
Bennett, Cassie and their friend Dylan own the Valditorian (Val) Theater and Bennett is ready to go back to the stage. Dylan has a script that is a ghost story about the Val and everyone is excited about it only there are things about the Val that they are about to learn things that will shake their belief in the supernatural. Of course what would their lives be if there wasn’t drama outside of the theater and once again they find themselves facing problems they never saw coming.
Erica their costume designer’s abusive husband has found her and Cassie gets caught in the middle when he comes calling. Then another ex-husband comes calling and this time it is Cassie’s ex Martin. Martin tries to convince Cassie that he is dying of cancer and needs money for an experimental treatment only Bennett is no fool and a phone call proves that this is a ruse Martin has used with others.
Martin left Cassie because she was unable to have children and after almost twenty years he is back with his hand out. Martin owes his bookie and his drug supplier and is unrecognizable as the man she once knew. He has no intention of letting Cassie get off easy and once again Cassie and Bennett are drawn into a dangerous situation.
From their very first meeting Cassie and Bennett faced obstacles, she almost died when his younger brother threw himself off a bridge landing on her car. Then his brother’s loan shark came calling for his money which Bennett paid. Then Cassie was once again almost killed this time at the hands of Bennett’s schizophrenic mother. The only good thing that came out of everything was that it was discovered that his brother fathered a child who now is part of the family.
The secondary characters are wonderful, Dylan, Alex, Gabby and Ian all part of Cassie and Bennett’s life and who bring light into their lives when it appears that everything is dark. I can’t wait for the third book in this series. Each book is a stand alone but of course there is more to learn about our characters and I can’t wait to see what trouble awaits them. Through it all the love between Cassie and Bennett just grows, a love story for the ages.
