This is the last book in this series and one word comes to mind WOW. I have read all the books, loved all the books but this one blew my mind.

It has been three years since Miranda left everyone behind to learn about her Elemental powers. She was reunited with her sister who she believed was dead and joined a coven of Elementals. She has decided to return to New York unsure of the reception she will receive, especially from Remare, her husband. She is not the same woman she was when she left due to the past year spent imprisoned in an underground water cave subjected to starvation, torture and poisoning. Rescued with help from friends, it took months for her to recuperate enough to even be able to consider returning home.

So much has changed since she left, the loss of a loved one, anger from Valadon and worse than all that Remare with a new girlfriend. His anger seems to seep from every part of his body and Miranda knows she has her work cut out for her to once again earn the trust of those she loves. She now has black eyes, so sunglasses are a constant and she is now much more than just an Elemental and human. She has so many secrets to reveal to Remare but he has refused to answer her texts or calls.

The Human Order of Light (HOL) has increased their attacks on vampires and Valadon is in the middle of a war against them. He realizes that Miranda’s powers have increased, and Valadon sees the advantage of having Miranda join him in his fight, but she is determined to help but still be available if others need her. Remare finally agrees to speak to Miranda and is shocked when he discovers what she suffered but while his love for her is still there he is still afraid to trust her. She left him once before, but what if she leaves him again, he doesn’t think he will survive again.

While the war with the HOL gets more violent, leaving bodies in their wake Miranda begins to confess some secrets to Remare that could change their relationship forever. Miranda’s powers are off the charts, and she is not someone you want for an enemy. All loose ends are sewn up and all questions are answered.

This book left me speechless it had everything, violence, sex, romance, betrayals, surprises and more secrets. My reaction to this dress of WOW says it all.
