She's destined to end his world, but without her his world would be nothing.

Cast aside by his own family for his cursed power Cable climbs the political mountain of influence by competing in the Seven Sun's Celebration races to earn his place among the elite. Chasing after his brother, who stands in his way of victory, he finds himself on Earth and running into his abett he thought died when they were children. She isn't safe if Acatalec finds she's alive, but neither can he let her go completely.

Tyler gained a set of wheels to replace the use of her legs when she was eight after a drone accident she doesn't even remember. When her brain implant gets hacked by a fixer, and they offer her a chance at being a pilot she ignores the risks and discovers her love of illegal drone races that sets her on a dangerous path she doesn't even know the half of.

My Abett is a Sci-Fi Fantasy Adventure Romance perfect for fans of K.F. Breene, Amy Bartol, redemption archs, and magical fated mate bonds. Delve into how Cable and Tyler began before The Kingdom of Acatalec.

I belong to the readers who started with ‘The Kingdom of Acatalec’ first and fell in love with the characters instantly.

My Abett gives a little insight into the ‘making’ of Cable Atzel, and the connection between him and Tyler Bligh who I found a bit unexplainable and confusing at first.

The short book describes where Cable comes from, and what political challenges he has to face to climb the latter to power and influence. He competes with his brother, the Prince of Numa, in races, when he unexpectedly discovers his Abett. He thought her dead since they were children. He knows, she’s in severe danger, if Acatalec finds out she’s still alive. But he cannot let her go.

Tyler is in a wheelchair since an accident she had when she was eight years old. She doesn’t remember that day, but when she finds her brain implant hacked by a fixer and she’s offered to become a drone pilot, she takes the risk and finds out how much she enjoys illegal drone races. She doesn’t know how high the risk is that she takes.

My Abett is a SciFi Fantasy Adventure which starts before ‘The Kingdom of Acatalec’ and introduces Cable and Tyler to us, in a romantic way that we didn’t expect.

  1. M. McCoy prepares the readers, fans and followers for ‘The Kingdom of Acatalec’ in an open descriptive way that I’ve seen her using in her next book.

It is hard to pick my favorite character, once again, but in this book, I think, it is Cable. Behind his good looks, there is this brooding, strong willed character who knows he has to work hard to compete with his brother, to save his people. All he does is for Acatalec, for his people. He is strong and powerful, but he knows, it’s not enough…

I don’t want to go any further, to make sure every reader can enjoy this story uninfluenced. But I admire the strength of these characters, and the story fabric, woven by this author.
