The Rapper
D Monz is a rap icon on two realms—Earth and Scath. When threatening hate mail pours in, the Firebrands send aid.
The Groupie
Celie isn’t really a groupie. She’s a witch warrior who gets off on the wrong foot with the rapper when she’s sent to protect him.
The Romance
Because of D’s family genetics, he requires more sex than most of his demon breed. The problem is simple. With the threats, outside help for his situation could be dangerous. So, if Celie wants to protect the rapper, she has a decision to make.

The Rapper’s Groupie is a paranormal short story between a demon rapper, who needs daily sex to feed and survive, and a witch who has been sent to protect him and investigate the threats that have been made against him.
This is my first book from the series and though it is book four, I would say it can be read as a standalone. We dive straight into the story with Celie barging her way into D Monz’s room backstage undercover as a reporter. It’s clear D Monz thinks she’s there for other reasons and isn’t afraid to say what he wants! At least they both know where they stand by the end of that conversation but there is also no denying the attraction they feel towards each other.
It doesn’t take long for the story to move along, and danger crops up with bullets flying. The mystery continues of who wants the demon dead, but Celie becomes more determined to protect D Monz as they spend more time together. It’s a whole different set of rules with it being the paranormal world and so Celie happily sacrifices herself for D Monz’s survival. What is unexpected on both sides is the emotional connection that builds.
The story passes very quickly as they move from stadium to stadium, with things escalating for both MC’s regarding their connection and the plot. I think that it is a good story over all but for me, I just struggled in the beginning to get into it. Maybe if it was a bit longer or had a bit more of an introduction before, we fall into the ‘you’ve got death threats, off you go and have sex to survive’. Fans of the series will enjoy it and I’d recommend others to try it as I got more into it as I got further into the book. It’s very sex and body positive which is always a plus in my book.
