Book five is Logan’s story and as with the first four it is everything you would want from a paranormal romance, sexy shifters, suspense and sex. Although the series does not have to be read in order why miss out on the other hot shifter’s stories.
Logan Reynolds has a rock band, Logan and the Howlers and his songs are full of pain and love. It was five years ago when the day before the prom Logan first shifted into a wolf. He was to take the love of his life and his mate Vivianna Lopez but the fear of bringing her into his world caused him to leave her. Logan knew that Anna’s (his name for her) dream was to be a journalist and that meant that confessing to her what he was could endanger his pack and his family. For five years he has not been able to get over the pain of losing her and suddenly at one of his concerts she shows up.
Anna wants to interview Logan for Rolling Stone but their meeting did not end well. Seeing her again only brought back the pain of losing her. Then Logan discovered that she had found out about Nero the group of jaguars trained as assassins. If she went searching for a story about them it could be dangerous to her. He had to allow her to interview him if he wanted to keep her safe but once again he found himself unable to be near her without wanting her.
Nero has moved into Lake Tahoe way to close for comfort and a definite danger to Logan and his pack. The pack is sure that Damian Severino has died after attacking two of the pack but unfortunately he is very much a live and more of a danger than ever. He is more than just a jaguar. Anna does reach out to Damian and when she agrees to meet him at a public place all hell breaks loss. At this point she knows about Logan and shifters but is shocked by what she sees and the danger it represents.
Logan wants Anna in his life and is unwilling to lose her again. She is his mate, his soul and his love. Anna has never gotten over Logan they have loved each other since they were kids but opening her heart to him and trusting him again may take some time. Can Logan get Anna to open up? Can Anna accept what life as a werewolf mate is all about? There is so much more in this story but revealing it would not be fair, you have to read it for yourself. There is sex, suspense, secrets and lies. Don’t miss this series once you start you won’t be able to put it down, I know I couldn’t.
