It is with great expectations, I sit down to read this fun series. It has it all, great author, great storyline, wonderful mysteries and characters to die for. No pun intended.
Mildred Abbott has set up a town and people that we have followed, and loved, and hated and watched grow into our own family. This book is Katie’s Bachelor Party and her bestie and maid of honor Winifred has planned for a Pub Crawl. When I heard this I spit out my drink cause this is sooooo not them!
The wedding is close now, no time for shenanigans but the first murder happens during the pub crawl, right in the rest room where chance has it, another member of Estes finest has planned her own pub crawl bachelorette party too, after hearing about Katie’s. She actually cancelled her original venue and made hers for the same night with different invitees. So it was no coincidence that Katie and Winifred were there for the murder.
Winifred and our newly appointed Chief of Police Susan, have quite a time, bodies piling up and we walked up and down Elkhorn Avenue with Fred having so many questions to have answered, so many motives, so little time.
I love every one of these stories, the author does a fine job on keeping us guessing and I never try to out guess who-dun-it……I just go with the dirty chais and the cake recipes at the end!!! Book #31 a winner.
