Twenty Six !!!! and still going strong. Mildred Abbott has given us a wonderful setting with real characters we have learned to love. Estes Park is the small town, set in the snow capped mountains of Colorado. We met Winfred Page changing her life, driving to deal with a break up of her marriage, he partner and best friend scheming and getting most of the monies from her thriving publishing business and the last straw marrying her ex.
Winifred has family in Estes and has come to town with her Corgi Watson to move on. Opening a beautiful book store in downtown on Elkhorn Avenue was her salvation. Being the daughter of a police detective was the bonus. The Cozy Corgi and Then The Cozy Corgi Bakery grew along with her penchant to solve a murder here and there made her life satisfying. Dating the handsome police detective had almost been her downfall.
Readers are invested in all the characters and family members and extended family and friends thru the series #26 not withstanding. It is Valentine’s Day in Estes and the storyline has a multi purpose storyline.
Winifred has been put in a position of having her ex husband and his wife move to Estes Park to relocate and begin to open businesses of their own. But a murder occurs and she is surrounded by so many personal feelings and a family suffering as well. This story has so many moving parts yet the author navigates the story so seamlessly not allowing the reader to get lost.
I am a Review Chair and have my choice of wonderful stories…..I must say I have read and reviewed every one of these books and recommend them!!!
