Wolf, the bassist for the band Midnight Hunt is dating entertainment lawyer Harrison who once had a relationship with Jinx until he left him to reunite with Miami. As soon as Miami and Jinx got back together Wolf was only too happy to jump into bed with Harrison, but Wolf couldn’t resist making a game out of their relationship, always insisting that they keep it hidden to keep Jinx from finding out. Wolf knew that Jinx was not concerned about him and Harrison because Jinx was aware of what was going on.
The constant refusal of Wolf to bring their relationship out in the open forces Harrison to walk away. He walked away and was the one calling Wolf for forgiveness and asking him to come back. Harrison even chased after him by flying to Wolf’s home in Florida where he was met with a closed door in his face. It was Wolf’s cousin who smoothed the way for the two men to reconnect until Harrison was called back to his office to relax a client of his.
Wolf and Harrison both have careers that take up a lot of their time, but Harrison is determined to find a way to put them both together in the same place, and that would require one of them to make a move not easy since Harrison had his office in LA where he lived.
I learned that this story was a follow up to Midnight Reunion which was Miami and Jinx’s story and although I didn’t read it, I have no doubt it would be every bit as good as this one. The band is starting over, and good things are ahead.
The band is recording a new album and were not expected to appear in Rocktoberfest 2023 until an unexpected invitation came their way. Harrison knows people who know people and put the word out it worked but angered Wolf who resented him butting into his career, he didn’t stay angry for long. However, they got to perform at Rocktoberfest and how that happened was insignificant.
All the band members are involved with someone and some of the relationships are rocky, and some are growing the way a good relationship should. Wolf and Harrison have some work to do for them to reach the point where there is nothing standing in the way. As with all relationships they take work and not everyone is willing to put in the effort.
This is a multi-author series, and each book is a standalone. Once I read my first book in this series, I couldn’t wait for more and more is thankfully what I got. Sexy rockers, sex, and lyrics to the Midnight Hunt music, how often does that happen.
This is the perfect time of the year to start this series, a series that will keep you busy through the winter where you can sit in your favorite chair with your book and a cup of coffee.
