Talented Kim Fielding can write anything and it becomes magic. I say this because as a fan, she has created much magic in my life. So I say this Ms. Fielding, thank you for sharing your gift to the world, you make it a better place. This short snippet of a Cinderella like story made my heart soar. So putting it out there to share what I felt was a must.
We meet Dom a household worker, an aging android, on another planet. Festivities in Mainsport are underway for the Betucom Masquerade Gala. Per Bolet the owner is greeting a rich guest Per Afrane . Dom is carrying the luggage to her suite. After Bolet leaves telling her “Let the Domus know your needs, he doesn’t look pretty but he is able to handle any of your needs” Dom watches her walk around the suite and she praises him for the well kept rooms. Dom’s honesty to her questions was refreshing to her.
The family and the other guests were keeping Dom very busy with their rich and spoiled behavior. The Theme of the gala was Old Earth Twentieth Century, which had all guests delving deep into historical books. When Per Afrane returned it was very late from her meetings and Dom was still working. Conversations were had as the woman questioned him on his feelings, which was very odd as what he was feelings were never asked by anyone.
That is why having her offer One Night to see what a Gala was, giving him the opportunity to to feel was shocking and kinda wonderful. Cinderfella at the Gala was sweet and moving, what came next was The Best!!
