This over 450 page story was a wonderment of knowledge for me. Ms Abbott is reminding us of the Cosy Corgi beginninga and that we stopped taking the past seriously falling into a soft cocoon. Also I think reminding us there might be a bigger set up for her fans, as she begins to close the series.
This mystery is Halloween in Estes, with a poker championship for charity, at the local Pizza place. My thoughts as we got past the murders that evening and followed the crumbs of info the author drops, her telling goes much deeper into charactrs new and old. Of course Garrett her ex husband who has been in the shadows for many books and her best friend Charlotte; who have said to have moved here sent by Branson Wexler and the Irons Family still haunt these pages.
Everyone in town has secrets and it takes a village literally to figure it out what happened, and to who, and why……along with all the treats of our favorite baker….
