WOLVES OF THE WEST...

The Desperado ghost town wolf pack is on the move...

Grant Wade, former Texas Ranger, now alpha of the Desperado werewolf pack in Arizona, is going to have to deal with Easterner Paxton Hall about the land surrounding the old ghost town.

Will Grant be able to protect Paxton when the next full moon comes around and she discovers her true nature... or will her presence spark both his intense desire for her and the interest of rogue predators on the prowl?

At the age of six Paxton Hall was sent away by her father to live with a family in the East. For twenty-years she never heard from him until she was contacted by a lawyer informing her of his death. He left her his property in Arizona, where she had grown up so for the first time in twenty years she returned. She is anxious to sell the property but there is just one problem, the Desperado Ghost Town once a tourist site and that sat right in the middle of the property her dad left her is not hers. That property was willed to Grant Wade.

Grant Wade was previously a Texas Ranger and now is the alpha of the Desperado pack. He is aware of the will that Andrew Hall left and that his daughter would be coming to try to get him to sell the ghost town, something he would never consider. Grant has made the Desperado Ghost Town a haven for Weres, those just going through their transition or those who are in need of a safe place. When he decides to pick Paxton up from the airport and introduces himself, she doesn’t hesitate to make her demands for a satisfactory resolution to her requests. Sell or give him the property but the property dispute would be nothing compared to what is coming.

Grant immediately recognizes that Paxton is a werewolf, something she is unaware of, and he has no doubt that with the next full moon she will finally shift and discover what she really is. When he recognizes the moon mark on her arm, the very same mark as him he realizes she is a pure blood with the ability to shift without the full moon. From the instant they see each other there is a connection and it was a connection that would grow while fighting a rogue werewolf responsible for killing cattle and even a human.

While Grant waits for the shift he is sure Paxton will go through everyone at Desperado is in danger from things they could never imagine. Paxton tries to remember things that she witnessed and experienced when she was six, but she is surrounded by one mystery after another. Grant is convinced that Paxton is in danger and that whatever is out there in the desert is after her.

This book is full of surprises, secrets, and mysteries surrounding Paxton and what threatens everyone in Desperado. The characters were wonderful, and the secrets and mysteries are all explained, which was the reason I couldn’t put the book down.

This is a series I highly recommend, and I have not found a book written by this author that I didn’t love.

This series is perfect for anyone with a love of paranormal romance!
