Vicki Martinson is training to be a fencing coach in the prestigious British Academy of Fencing in England. She is renting a cottage and has found a worker constantly staring at her. Vicki has a huge birthmark on the side of her face which has made her self-conscious and insecure but when the worker comes to fix her stove and tells her she is beautiful, her life and chance of romance look up.
Nicholas Dawson is the son of the owner of the cottages and like Vicki he is shy and insecure. When he finally gets up the nerve to ask Vicki for dinner these two lonely, insecure people find themselves braving the world of dating.
Nicholas has a secret that has kept him from ever daring to begin a relationship until he meets Vicki. They are both virgins in sex and relationships but when Nicholas’ secret is revealed there is no way of knowing whether Vicki will be able to accept it. She enters the Dawson home looking for Nicholas and finds him in the process of changing from human to werewolf and yes Dorothy we aren’t in Kansas anymore.
An ugly birthmark and a boyfriend who is half-lycan and half human when the moon is full is a lot to build a relationship on but will love overcome all the obstacles they face.
