This reviewer suggests that the series be read in order since all the characters appear in each book and it would be a pity to miss out from the beginning. Finding one of the stones is just one part of this series. It is also finding your soulmate and traveling back in time.
This book is Dominic’s story, he is Brielle’s (Bree) Special Ops brother. We have met Dominic before but now he has his own story. We also catch up on Colin and Bree’s twins, Evie and Ewan who have been taught how to use their fae powers, powers which will find themselves in 1930 /Egypt in Archeologist Moira Joanna White’s dig.
Evie lost control and opened a portal in the Eye of Ra so she, Ewan and Dominic are all drawn into the eye. Moira is devoted to finding Egyptian artifacts and bringing them to the world to enjoy but Pierre Lenoir is a man who keeps stealing her finds and selling them to the highest bidder.
When Moira discovers three people in her dig, she has no idea how they got there and when Dominic reveals the truth she doesn’t believe it. While they are talking Pierre shows up and once again confesses the dig is his which convinces Dom that she needs extra protection and while he is there, he will supply that protection.
Dominic asks Evie to open the portal again only she refuses stating that they must be there since something important is there. Bree and Colin know what happened and find themselves in Egypt but unfortunately, Pierre didn’t just take an artifact this time he took Evie realizing she has powers he can use.
The search for Evie and the Stone commences only it is filled with danger. Pierre has men behind him with guns and fighting him becomes harder and harder. Colin and Bree are desperate to find their daughter and Dom is desperate to protect Moira.
Suspense, romance, kidnapping, secrets and surprises had me glued to this book from page one to the end. Fortunately, there are more missing stones, so I look forward to more adventures in the search for them.
This is a series that anyone who loves visiting other time periods and being a part of finding true love will love.
