Since he was young, Jory Longstone has been keeping a diary to catalogue his exploits, which helps inspire his music. He finds solace in managing his complicated life through the written word, which he never intended for anyone else to read.

Until one man did, and he now controls Jory's life.

While his band's star is rising, Jory remains trapped and ashamed - closed off from emotional attachments for fear of discovery.

And then he meets Damian Foyle, manager of his family-owned cinema, a place where Jory loves to hide and relax. The antithesis of a rockstar, Damian loves his martial arts classes, tinkering with motor parts, and the simple life.

Damian's first meeting with Jory is just shy of a disaster, and yeah, the second one isn't all that great either.

Jory is annoying, sexy as hell, temperamental, and one helluva rock god in tight trousers. It's all Damian can do not to burn up in the heat of the man's fiery personality.

But getting close to his heart is another thing altogether, and Damian won't settle for anything less.

I love this author and Edge did not disappoint. Susan has been on my Kindle for many many years. Her romances and stories are always thought provoking and satisfying.

This story brings us lonely rock musician Jory Longstone aka Edge. Since he was very young, being alone had him sharing his life, thoughts and adventure in a diary like books. When his music and band grew, he shared possibly too much in these books, mentioning hook ups and indiscretions of other well known people. Since he was not ‘out’ someone finding these was always dangerous for him but also dangerous for all the people he has written about.

The person managing his father’s estate and trust was an old army buddy of his Dad’s and his young life was not pleasant. Now Jory worries where many of his books have gone and he worries they were stolen by this man.
It wasn’t until he went to his favorite old cinema to watch an old movie and hide in the darkness. It was kismet he met Damian Foyle, the young manager of his family-owned cinema. The first couple of meetings were shaky….but persistence did help. This MM romance was sweet and the mystery and the finale was heart pounding….Just what we needed for this story.

It is with great pain to have read that Ms MacNicol , who I have been reading for over a decade has decided to step back from writing, possibly permanently. So Edge, sadly might be the last of her words. It certainly makes me sad for me, and hopefully she will enjoy her next life adventure.
