When opposites attract and worlds clash, will love be enough to save them?
Matt Connell struggles. He struggles with rejection from his tight-knit, working class family as much as he struggles with the heartbreaking loss of the one who was the centre of his world. But most of all, Matt struggles with accepting his true self. When an explosive confrontation leads to exposure, Matt is faced with a stark and terrifying choice: live his life in denial or strive to forge a new path for himself as an out gay man.
Rick Taylor has never had to struggle. With money, self-confidence and a sense of entitlement, Rick expects life to give him exactly what he wants.
Matt and Rick should never have met let alone fallen in love, so when their worlds collide one freezing winter’s day their lives are changed forever. Will they reach for the stars, or will they come crashing down to earth?
Who said the road to true love was easy?
Loose Connection is the first in the Urban Love trilogy and is a bittersweet opposites attract love story resulting in a hard fought for HEA, with no cliff hanger. Can be read as a stand-alone.

Christmas is over, I sort thru my Kindle on what to read. With climate change, Gilbert, Arizona this morning is 30 degrees with a high of 40. This has been the pattern all week. The forecast is now inundated with heavy rain, making the next 3 day very bleak.
Scrolling thru titles, I am looking for a ‘full novel,’ no novella…..Stopping at ‘Loose Connections’, I wondered why I hadn’t read it before buying it years ago, and never getting to it. I have read and reviewed many of Ms. Ryecart’s newer works. Guess this is fate.
As the author states ‘When opposites attract and worlds clash, will love be enough to save them?’ Meeting Rick Taylor and Matt Connell was the easy part. Their life got bumpy after that.
Rick is gay, out and proud. He had gone to college in London , where his group of friends still remained close, some family money had helped with his home. The only thing he is searching for was someone to come home to.
Matt Connell is a gorgeous mess. Brought up in an strict Irish Catholic family, who he really is, he has had to keep hidden. Leaving school and learning a trade like all boys did, marrying his parents friends daughter….hiding himself for it to all come down on him, when he is outed losing his entire family and the one that was his world.
When Rick and Matt meet it is electric. So what could go wrong? Uggh everything….They are so into each other. yet what Matt fell in love with in Rick; now this intimidates him.
Matt is still is not comfortable with being gay out in public. He tries to change Rick, telling him to change his pastels for butch. The whole story has Matt struggling to be safe within himself. It is heartbreaking, and wonderful as they come together to get past the past.
Ali a great read!
