Before Layla convinced Rupex that Sapien-Three girls were worth a shot… Before a silent Tigerite found his voice while falling in love… There was a mistake.

Cherie knew her patients at the Pleasure Park deserved better treatment—and she’d willingly bent the rules to help a bunch of them land a mysterious job far from polluted Sapien-Three. She just never expected to be going with them! A simple clerical mistake ends with Cherie being jettisoned to a distant planet in the Felix Orbus Galaxy known as Lynx-Nineteen. When she arrives, it rapidly becomes clear that the mistake is far bigger than anyone realized.

Dane can’t handle one more crisis. He’s the sheriff of a mining town on desolate Lynx-Nineteen, where everyone is stretched thin by overwork and grief. The Lynxian is putting on a brave face, but inside, he’s slowly going numb. If one more thing goes wrong, he might just hang up his badge. So, naturally, a capsule full of trafficked humans shows up at an abandoned docking site.

Cherie and Dane form an instant friendship as the kindly citizens of the Lynxian community pitch in to help the humans in their midst find their way home—or find home a new way. While all the women from the Pleasure Park seem happy with this new opportunity, Cherie’s not so sure. Her dreams are back on Sapien-Three.

So why is the handsome sheriff from a different galaxy suddenly seeming like the ultimate dream come true?

Find out about the first human-Felid couples in the Felix Orbus Galaxy in Lynxian in Love, a steamy space-western prequel to the hot alien romance series by S.C. Principale.

Cherie is a nursing consultant with Sapien-Three’s outcall program and a routine call to one of the Pleasure Parks would become anything but routine. Offered money to check on eleven females who have signed new contracts with a contract broker for domestic work off-world and are on their way to a new life Cherie accepts, money is the means for her to continue her education and leave Sapien-Three for good.

The next thing she remembers is waking up aboard a cargo ship, no water, no food and her and eleven others heading to who knows where. Cherie is sure there was an error since she did not sign a new contract and her contract is still in full force. Finally, they land and non-too soon since all the women are exhausted, thirsty, dirty and hungry.

The destination they awoke in is Lynx-Nineteen in the farthest reaches of the Felix Orbus System and they are being offered for sale to the farmers and miners. The Queen Fever killed off most of the women leaving only elderly and young till a vaccine was finally developed. The men are now responsible for their jobs, keeping their homes from ruin and raising their cubs. Fortunately, the men of Lynx-Nineteen won’t go along with the plan since the women were not brought there of their own free will.

Dane the sheriff shows up and arrests the two humans and the Lexian working with the trafficers. The women are fed, clothed, given access to showers and beds while Dane tries to find a way to send them back where they belong. Surprisingly the women are not anxious to return to a life at the Pleasure Parks they are being treated like Queens, which is what the men call them, with the respect they never received before. Cherie is anxious to return, she didn’t sign up for this and wants to continue being a nurse.

The galaxy Lynx-Nineteen is not a place where ships arrive often so sending Cherie back will take some time. As she waits the prisoner’s escape, Dane is injured as well as one of the other Lyxian’s with him. One of the injured requires surgery and with her nursing background Cherie is put in charge of caring for Dane. It is advised that she stay at his home to care for him till he can return to his duties as sheriff and that begins the Cherie and Dane story.

Dane’s sister died from the Queen Fever, and he is raising her cubs all four of them. Cherie can’t help but fall in love with them and they welcome her with open arms, especially his niece who is desperate for a female’s touch. Being around the family her initial feelings of never wanting to be with a male from Lynx-Nineteen begins to soften. Dane treats her in a way she never was treated before, and the cubs show her nothing but love. It isn’t easy to turn away from love and she finds herself being loved by four cubs and the sheriff.

The relationship between Dane and Cherie was wonderful and the care and concern by the people is something that makes the thought of a world like that, no hatred, no killing unless needed and woman treated like precious cargo a wonderful dream.

I don’t want to reveal anything else because it is something you must read for yourself. There is explicit sex, the fear of more women arriving that were trafficked and a system that survived without the females and didn’t let that destroy who they really were.

Another great book by one of my favorite authors and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
