If you love intrigue, military adventure thriller and have not read this wonderful series; Shame on you !! Alex Lukeman and I are bound together for many years with my devouring every book in this series ; now at 23. The Project Series began in a world this group coming into existence under the shelter of the White House. Then President Rice wanted a group who could handle touchy stuff without using the military. Handpicked this group has been in different countries, under some difficult circumstances using ingenuity .
Their roles have changed, as our author concluded when Rice left office and The New President took over. It was no longer feasible to work with him but the country still needed this assistance.. The group still has covert gov’t assistance and is led by Elizabeth Harker.
Now mind you White Jade Book #1 Premiered in 2012 with the headlines International Intrigue, Terrorist Acts, and the Threat of Nuclear War! How could I not purchase this?????
The group group has been through many different scenarios and I have lived them all with rapid heartbeats and sweaty palms. It is a compelling series, Mr. Lukeman keeps up with the political times and there are instances I think I am reading the newspaper not a fiction book. Book #23 is the semblance of our life as it is now. Multi-Millionaires plotting, making a disease so they can lessen the amount of people living on earth by creating a virus that will kill multitude’s. Culling the amount of people with this deadly virus and offering life saving shot to “save” them contain1ng an antidote (and also a mind controlling drug ) that can be used to control them or kill them if hey revolt.
In the last few years as these group wearies and ages we hear their plight, stop and retire or fight….This book had no exception but the last sentence might have given me a maybe one more book…If this is the last I will miss them, they are like family.
