Adrift and lonely, Lily Greene travels to Provence to spend the summer with her aunt in the sunny south of France. In the vibrant city of Avignon, she meets Ludo and Auguste, two expert fencers who are also local actors performing in the upcoming Festival of Theater where they will present the classical tragedy, Cyrano de Bergerac.
When Lily joins their thespian troupe, portraying the lead female role, she discovers that real life mirrors the play they are rehearsing, for--just as Cyrano and Christian vie for Roxane-- Ludo and Auguste become intense rivals for Lily.
Handsome as a Hollywood movie star, Auguste is used to women falling into his bed. But when Lily spurns his amorous advances, drawn instead to the enigmatic Ludo, jealousy drives Auguste to seek revenge.
Will tragedy strike with a cruel twist of fate? Or will love triumph with Amour in Avignon?

This novella was a story that mimicked Cyrano de Bergerac and his friend Christian. Filled with romance, jealousy and betrayal ending in a sword fight.
Lily Greene had been invited by her Aunt Agnes (Aggie) to Avignon and the invite came at the perfect time in her life, divorced, jobless and nursing a double betrayal, her best friend cheating with her husband. Now she is in France at the time of the most famous Festival of Theater, Le Festival de ’Avignon.
Aggie owns a shop and Ludo the nephew of the man she is dating, and his friend Auguste are renting the apartment above the shop. The attraction between the two men and Lily is instant only she has eyes for Ludo. Lily is not comfortable with Auguste, she senses he is a wolf looking for prey and unfortunately, she hits it right on the nose. Auguste gets every woman he wants, and he doesn’t have to try too hard to get them into his bed.
Ludo has a big nose and has been teased about it all his life and when Lily shows attention to him Auguste cannot accept it. There was no way Ludo wins the beautiful Lily and not him. Auguste’s jealousy is heating up and he is not a man to take losing lying down. Lily will be his and it doesn’t matter how dirty he has to fight.
Ludo and all his friends are putting on the show Cyrano de Bergerac and Lily is going to star as Roxanne, Ludo is Cyrano and of course, Auguste is Christian who climbs the balcony and kisses Roxanne something that Lily dreads and it turns out for good reason. What should have been a gently kiss turns into anything but.
Ludo won the girl then he had the nerve to win at fencing dethroning Auguste in front of everyone. Whatever plans he had to get even with Ludo were nothing compared to what he plans now. Two men who have known each other for years, considered themselves best friends are now enemies simply because one man could not accept losing.
Romance, sex, betrayal, lies. I was glued to the story from the beginning till the end waiting for what I hoped would be a HEA and I wasn’t disappointed.
Thank you very much for reviewing my novella!
