Rhys Ford has revisited with us her gift of words , words likened to poetry, reminding us of her wonderful world building and storytelling. . A short touch away from her Kai universe, she has given us Javi Navarro, a Hunter, sent to Detroit to help with a Vampire Kiss. Unearthed quite by accident in an abandoned old slum building, the kiss has awakened and it is necessary to save a city to shut it down.
Javi Navarro is called to Detroit to work with a retired and reclusive Ciarnan Mac Gerailt …..Ciarnan is a Mage who has gone into seclusion giving up his black magic to save he and the world from himself…..Now that the ancients locked away for decades have been freed, they search the city for dependents of their deceased vampires and everyone will die in their path.
It takes some very scary instances for Ciarnan to even begin to dwell on going back to this own inner darknesss….Javi gives Ciarnan no path other than to join him both in destroying the danger and while they are at it…..sexual attraction blooms…..Javi and he are in it to win it!!!
Come along on this wonderful short story to the bloody battle that will unfurl!!! Can they save the Motor City?
