The advantage of a one-night stand is being able to walk away. Except, Nathan can’t.
Workaholic Nathan Nicholls hasn’t had the easiest time of late. Still reeling from his publisher’s rejection of his latest book, he seeks refuge in a remote hotel. When he’s propositioned by the sinfully sexy CJ, a man who knows exactly what he wants and isn’t afraid to go for it, why shouldn’t Nathan throw caution to the winds for once and have a bit of fun? After all, he’s leaving the next day.
When an avalanche puts paid to Nathan’s quick exit, he finds himself stuck there for Christmas. Stuck with CJ. What should be awkward, quickly becomes something else. The snow might be cold, but the time they spend together is far from it, and Nathan finds his heart warming. If only their passion and laughter didn’t have a shelf life, doomed to come to an end once the road is cleared.
Nathan Nicholls doesn’t do one-night-stands. But maybe, just maybe, if he makes a Christmas wish, this could be something more.
A sweet and steamy 43k forced proximity story which features a man who never was any good at one-night stands, a cheerful wildlife photographer who might not be as confident as he makes out, rustic log cabins, snow, Christmas cheer, and two men gaining a whole new perspective on life.
All the books in the Snowed Inn collection are standalone stories and can be read in any order.

This book is part of the ‘Snowed Inn’ series and each book is by a different author and a stand-alone. This was my first in the series and I can honestly say it was a wonderful romance and the perfect story for Christmas.
Nathan Nicholls is the author of a series and is now onthe fourth book. A call to his publisher sent him into a tailspin when he was told plainly that his book would not be published and needed extensive revisions. Heartbroken he decided to go to a retreat in Colorado, giving him a few days before heading to see his father. Nathan is from the UK, and he intended to see his dad and try to get over the disappointment he suffered over his latest book.
Nathan rented a cabin and managed to stay in “solitary confinement” meaning he didn’t bother to mingle with anyone and even managed to find a bar at the hotel that was usually not full. It was on his way to the bar that he stopped to see a speed dating event and found himself staring at a man that seemed to draw his attention. As usual Nathan just walked away, ordered a beer and found a table by himself. When the object of his attention sat down next to him Nathan was unsure what to do about it, fortunately that was not the case with his unexpected visitor.
Callum Jones, CJ noticed when Nathan looked at him with his bedroom eyes and came right out with an invitation to have “fun”. Nathan hadn’t been with anyone for a long time and was hesitant, but he was drawn to CJ and what harm would it be to enjoy the company of another man for the night since he was leaving in the morning. A one-night stand was not something Nathan was a fan of, but it had been so long since he was with anyone he couldn’t resist.
The next day Nathan left CJ’s cabin only to discover upon his checkout that there was an avalanche that covered the roads and took out the electricity. Leaving was impossible and there was no way of knowing when everything would be back to normal. CJ met him at the hotel and got the same news about the avalanche but unlike Nathan he was ready to continue the one-night stand for as many nights as they were stranded. CJ is a wildlife photographer and hoped to take photos of animals in the snow, but the animals were not appearing since the avalanche, so he found other ways of spending his time and didn’t hesitate to drag Nathan along.
As Nathan and CJ spent time together joining in with the others stranded at the hotel, playing games, building snowmen and having mind blowing sex they found themselves individually hoping the roads would stay closed longer fearing that as soon as they could leave, they would go their separate ways.
A beautiful story with two wonderful men who thanks to Mother Nature had a chance for a HEA.
