Loved this addition to a series I love. Wolf Pack Run the Grey Wolf’s ranch in the blue-ridged Montana mountains is all ready for Christmas but Silas Buck hates everything about the holiday season and in spite of swearing fealty to the pack he is alone. Silas was once a Wild Eight the enemy of the Grey Wolf’s but now in spite of them taking him in he can’t help but feel hated. Right after the ceremony welcoming him in as a Grey Wolf, he was arrested for planning to kill the pack master Maverick Grey. The only one that believed in his innocence was Cheyenne Morgan who freed him from his cage. Of course, all the charges against him were proven to be wrong.

Cheyenne is a ray of sunshine and no matter how hard he tries to find a flaw in her and prove her sweetness and honesty is an act he has to admit to himself that he wants her. When Maverick requests Silas accompany Cheyenne to Missoula to bring back a part for their plow his answer is a resounding NO. Missoula holds nothing but bad memories, memories that for fifteen years have torn at his heart and soul but he can’t help feel a need to protect Cheyenne.

While in Missoula his worst fears come true, vampires are there and they are both in danger. There is a snow storm, vampires and the only hope is for Silas to lead them to a cabin he could find in his sleep. His nightmares threaten to destroy him because vampires and the cabin are the focus of those nightmares. The only thing to hold on to is his desire to protect Cheyenne and she has a desire for something much more personal. It wasn’t until they finally returned home that Silas learned about her being autistic and now, he feels guilty hoping he didn’t take advantage of her.

Silas’ past threatens his future and the only one determined to save him from himself is Cheyenne. Whether she is successful in turning his outlook from sad to happy I won’t reveal it I have to leave something for you to find out for yourself but hint, hint, it is a Christmas story. Silas and Cheyenne were amazing characters and I loved them both.
