When Miles Wickford happens upon a locket one day during his morning walk, little did he realize how his life would change.

Elias Grafton is frantic when his beloved locket is taken from his antique shop. He fears it may be lost forever.

Miles is intrigued by the power the locket possesses but can’t in good conscience keep what doesn’t belong to him. Although it can’t hurt to try it once or twice, can it?

A locket brings these two men together. And Fate, or the locket’s magic, leads to so much more.

Sometimes love is just lying there, waiting to be found.

A Locket’s Tale is a small town MM romance featuring older guys, a lost locket, and just a hint of magic.

Miles Wickford is a freelance editor working from home. His day starts with a walk and changing his routine, he takes a different route than usual, never imagining that this change would change his life forever. Walking he sees a piece of jewelry lying on the floor, it is a locket but different from any he has seen before. Inside the locket is an inscription which he decides to further investigate at home. The inscription says that if you put the chain on and think of your favorite book you will be part of the story for one day.

Intrigued but fearful Miles decides to use caution and thinks about what could happen if he puts the chain on, but curiosity wins the day, and he follows the inscription on the inside of the locket. He finds himself on a cruise ship from one of his favorite gay romances and meets the characters from the book. His experience was life changing and he does it one more time. Miles decides that this locket must belong to someone who is suffering from its loss, so he places an ad in the lost and found and meets the owner.

Elias Grafton owns a small antique and when he discovers the locket is gone, he is devastated. The locket was given to him when he was eighteen by his grandfather and it has been in the family for generations. His journeys into his favorite books were a constant joy although he tried not to overdo it. When he meets Miles at a coffee shop to retrieve his most prized possession, he is overjoyed to have it returned. Miles had his brief fun with the locket and that was enough, returning it to its rightful owner would be another experience that would change his life forever.

When Eli offered a reward Miles refused it and asked him out to dinner it seems that there may be more magic in the locket than expected since both men have an instant attraction to each other. One dinner leads to more and the more they spend time together the more they want. Who could have ever thought that romance could begin by finding something lying on the ground.

This was a beautiful lost and found story, a lost locket and a newfound love. As I read the book, I began to wonder what book I would like to visit, there are so many choices good thing I don’t have a magical locket because unlike Eli, I would never take it off.
