Keeping a lid on all the paranormal beings inhabiting Washington D.C. is a daunting job. Bruce, a six hundred year old demon and the Territory Overlord of the Western Hemisphere, keeps his finger on the pulse of DC's power players through the activities at his highly successful Wycked Hair Salon. His movie star good looks and body builder physique keeps his dance card full and the rumor mills running. Within these walls, his anonymity is safe, mostly.

Bruce's world spins out of control when Angelique, a pint size, gorgeous witch, with an attitude breezes through the doors of his salon. She is the younger sister of Tristian, Bruce's long time trusted enforcer, whose professional skills are second to none. Tristian is furious at the relationship between Bruce and Angelique, a dangerous situation. The undeniable attraction between demon and witch promises to tear apart both their professional and personal worlds.

Bruce is a six hundred year old demon and the Overlord of the Western Hemisphere keeping paranormal beings living in Washington D.C. contained. He owns Wycked Hair Salon and his clients are very influential people who keep him informed of what is happening in D.C. anything that could affect the paranormal community.

Angelique Shandie is the owner of The Krystal Unicorn, a new age specialty store near the salon and when she comes to the salon to ask about leaving flyers for her store she and Bruce see each other, he is very taken with the beautiful petite blond especially when she looks up sees him and throws him a kiss. Needless to say she is a very feisty woman who also happens to be the kid sister of Tristian a powerful warlock who works for Bruce as an enforcer and would definitely not take well to his sister dating a demon. As a demon hunter having one in the family is a definite no-no.

For the first time in centuries Bruce finds himself drawn to a woman and in spite of the fact that pursing a relationship with her would put him and his trusted enforcer and friend against one another the obsession to be with her is stronger than any fear he might have. Angie also finds herself drawn to Bruce and is ready to see if they can have a relationship, she is unaware of Bruce’s relationship with her brother or what he does. All her life Tristian has kept her in the dark about the paranormal world even though she is a witch. Being with Bruce would put her life in jeopardy since she would be a sure way to get to him.

Angie’s best friend and partner Willow tries very hard to keep Angie from seeing Bruce, as a fairy, Willow is very aware of the world Bruce and Tristian live in and knows full well that Angie doesn’t. Everyone tries to tell Angie that Bruce is evil and she should stay away but the heart wants what the heart wants and before long both Bruce and Angie realize that they are meant to be together regardless of what people say and regardless of what Tristian will do.

Unfortunately Angie and Bruce’s relationship takes a back seat for awhile when it is rumored that a powerful dark demon has managed to escape the underworld and is out looking for revenge. Now it is imperative that Angie be told about her brother and the world they live in since her life is now in jeopardy.

I loved this book, Bruce and Angie are wonderful main characters but the secondary characters, Willow, Owen and Tristian are wonderful as well. What happens between the demon and the witch I won’t reveal I will only say that this is a book any lover of paranormal romance shouldn’t miss.
