The Places You'll Go And The Things That You'll See

Former SAS soldier, Clay Mortimer, the M in M&W Investigations, had thought he'd seen it all. But when his ex calls and asks for a favour Clay is intrigued, and then a bit surprised. He and his partner, Tate Williams, have a robust and imaginative sex life, but the things they see and learn in Fetish Alley take their understanding of human behaviour to the next level. Tate's take is part kid in a candy store fascination, part shocked. At the end of the day, all good detective work requires an open mind and the skill to ferret out the truth. Still, the layers of deceit and avarice they encounter are more than par for the course, particularly from people who are not keen about outsiders to the world of Fetish Alley.

When I heard Susan Mac Nicol was writing a spin off from her long running Men of London series….I was thrilled. What reader who has read her over ten book series, wouldn’t want to return and see how ‘Our Men ‘ are doing.

Clay Mortimer and Tate Williams became a loving duo in Book 4…. I think in Feet of Clay. They have formed an investigation company called what else M&W Investigations using their military talents and strong and fearsome friends. They are helping people and companies who are targets of cyber or other needs. It was a coming home of sorts for me with these two and their friends who are like family to me.

This newest introduces us to Clay’s ex owning a fetish club in London. He reaches out to Clay to check on a death of a friend and member of his club who was found in an empty theater he owned in a fox suit.

The Furry Fetish is part of the scenario, yet not delved in too deeply for the sensitive. Lol….Yet to me this particular investigation was not my primary focus as I enjoyed the jealousy Tate carried about Clay’s ex, finding Tate was doing better with his PTSD and seeing some of the other people they had dinner with and checked in with that I caught up with.

New characters and investigations will be coming and I cannot wait for more…Those who have not been in the Men of London fan club will want to go back and immerse themselves in this series. I am ready to continue the voyage…Great start…
